An STL is a shape with no opinion about sizes: no datum, no tolerances, nothing to check a print against. That is fine until a hole comes out undersized or someone else needs to remake your part. Can I also get an STL from a photo?+

What is the difference between an STL and a technical drawing?+
An STL is a surface mesh the slicer reads: pure geometry, no dimensions, no tolerances, no datums. A technical drawing is the human-readable spec: views, sizes and tolerances you can inspect against. Printing needs the first; verifying, documenting and manufacturing need the second.
Can I use the drawing to have the part CNC machined instead?+
Yes, and that is a common upgrade path when a printed prototype proves out. Export the drawing as DXF or DWG plus a PDF, and a machine shop can quote the metal version directly, which a bare STL rarely achieves on its own.
How accurate is the drawing compared to my print?+
The dimensions come from the measurement you anchor, so the sheet describes the real part rather than a pixel guess. That is exactly what makes it useful for print verification: dimension the design once, then compare each print's calipers against the sheet.
